This session is very special to me. I have been wanting to set this up for years and I finally decided to take a leap and go for it! I made a post in a Pittsburgh parents group on Facebook and explained that I wanted to do a photo session to celebrate the beauty in our differences. I needed six girls ages 6-10 who all looked very different from each other. I honestly wasn’t sure what type of response I would get, but to my surprise I messages started pouring in from parents who wanted their child to be involved. They loved the idea and wanted to be a part of it.
Of course there were a few bumps along the way though…last minute cancelations, printer malfunctions, wardrobe issues, etc. Thankfully it all came together perfectly in the end and the photos turned out better than I could have imagined. On top of getting to know all of these awesome kids and their parents, I had the opportunity to make an important statement with these photos.
DIFFERENT IS BEAUTIFUL. UNIQUE IS AMAZING.
